Baby Wisely: Week 14

How far along? 14 weeks

Best moment this week: Being able to walk around work not worrying about hiding my belly!

Miss anything yet? Starting to miss wine a bit more. Poor wine... I hope it still knows how much I love it.

Movement: Nope

Food cravings: Still cereal. Moving from Honey Bunches of Oats to Special K with strawberries. Yay, variety!

Anything sounding disgusting? Still treacherous chicken.

Showing yet? Belly is definitely making a point. Easier to button the pants, harder to disguise the higher bump that is happening. I think baby is starting to outweigh the cereal!

Gender prediction: Still sticking with 'the bean' only at this point! Everyone I talk to has different advice to predict; mostly all of it contradicts one another. Chinese gender chart says it's a girl (obviously, so accurate I might as well start painting the nursery).

Sleep? When I'm not waking up in the middle of the night to tinkle, just filled with crazy dreams, and a very early bed time.

Belly button situation? Getting shallower.

Clothing situation? Bought a few shirts with some more 'give' in the middle, much more comfortable!

I'm generally feeling: Super energetic! Forgot to mention: in the first trimester, I had about two weeks or morning sickness (or rather, 'just feeling awful/nauseous/hungover the entire day' sickness), then have been feeling super awake/sharp/happy most all of the times. Still down for an after dinner power nap at about 7pm every day.

Looking forward to: Finishing compiling our two rooms! Our house is a bit of a mess at the moment. We agreed the office would be the best spot for the nursery, but that means a whole lot of stuff. Fitting into a room with a whole lot more other stuff. One closet emptied; one guest bed disassembled; one scope out session at Ikea to find some better storage solutions. Let's hope the energy keeps up so we can keep things going!
